<p>Yes the hash gives more flexibility. For instance when one wants to proof ownership but wants to protect his public key so that not all his bonds get connected (if he used the same) we can add a salt. Other use case might be to combine the pubKey with other meta data so that the bond gets additional context. Even if we don't know yet the use cases it is important that we design it open enough to be flexible to support it in future.</p>
