<p><a class="user-mention" data-hovercard-type="user" data-hovercard-url="/hovercards?user_id=4233784" data-octo-click="hovercard-link-click" data-octo-dimensions="link_type:self" href="https://github.com/flix1">@flix1</a> The important part is that the certificate issuer is not aware of Bisq / BTC. So there are no privacy concerns with that. I simply proofs that some 3rd party has verified your real life ID and you can proof that cryptographically without revealing additional data to the peer. As there it is not likely that this becomes a very widely used features I think there is also no risk that the optional feature becomes semi-mandatorsy as otherwise nobody would trade with you. It would be part of a bigger set of features where user can choose from. Time, money or real life ID are options to provide additional security.</p>
