[bisq-contrib] October voting is now complete

I’d like to open up a discussion here for feedback about the compensation request and voting process.

Generally, I think this went pretty smoothly—especially given that it was our first time—but there is no doubt room for improvement.

Here are a few observations from my side to get the ball rolling:

 - Pretty much everyone grouped together their work over the month into a single request titled “For October 2017”. This is perfectly fine, and it was me that kicked off that trend, but I want to mention that in many cases it may be better to issue compensation requests on a per-work item basis rather than grouping them together for the month. You can see an example of this in Mike’s Testing API compensation request at [1], which will be up for a vote in the next round.

 - I also noticed that at least one contributor did not vote for their own compensation request, while all other contributors did vote for themselves. I think we can just make it a practice to vote for ourselves. It’s natural enough to do, and nothing wrong with it in principle.

 - Bonding did not play the role that it should have in this round of voting, but we’ll get that worked out by the next time we vote, stay tuned.

If there are things you’d like to see changed the next time around, or if you have any other questions or feedback on the process, please do weigh in, thanks!

That should help keep everyone in the know about what’s going on and able to react quickly to new information (and you can always mute individual issues if something is getting too noisy).
