@m52go unfortunately I think the main problem is not technical. The problem is the European GDPR law. 
AFAIK I can't accept a transfer of a list of email addresses to put on my malling list server. The Email addresses are personal data.
The best way would be to ask everyone with the old system to subscript to a new mailing list on my server. 
Or run the server outside of the EU and by someone outside of the EU.
