@rex4539, the short answer to your questions are as follows:

 - During Phase Zero, we are operating with a 1 BSQ == 1 USD valuation for the BSQ token. See https://docs.bisq.network/dao/phase-zero.html#establish-and-refine-the-fair-market-value-of-the-bsq-token.

 - The value of the work you have done is fundamentally subjective. To approximate it, you should ask yourself "how much value do I think this work has added to the Bisq Network and its users?". While no precise "right" answer can ever be given in response to this question, answers can be given that a majority of Bisq stakeholders would agree is reasonable. That is what you're shooting for, since it is Bisq stakeholders that will be voting on your compensation request.

This all sounds complicated, but in practice, it's been pretty easy. If you look back through recent compensation requests, you'll find contributors doing their best to estimate the value of their work, and you'll see that for the most part, other stakeholders agree, and vote in the affirmative. When in doubt, just ask around in Slack. Join the #compensation channel, and ask the stakeholders there whether they think your request is reasonable, i.e. whether it's something they'd vote to approve.

There is one very important constraint to keep in mind, though, and that is that the work you request compensation for must be _delivered_ work. For example, if you reviewed a work-in-progress document (which you recently did, thank you), you should not request compensation for that work until the document has been delivered, i.e. published and promoted. The _Getting Started with Bisq_ document you contributed to is a good example of work that has been _delivered_ in this way. It has been merged to bisq-docs master and therefore published, it has been announced and promoted via Twitter, and it has been linked to from other key resources such as the main Bisq website. You can read all about what it means for work to be delivered in this recently accepted proposal: https://github.com/bisq-network/proposals/issues/19.

In any case, please do submit a compensation request. Your recent efforts (including your many typographical and grammatical fixes) have been much appreciated!
