@ManfredKarrer would these locked bitcoins be BSQ bitcoins or simple bitcoins?
@meapistol My initial reaction was similar to yours but I think it's worth putting to the test to see how big is the friction really. It may be that the market is quite comfortable with acquiring BSQ and use it as collateral for trades.

I see this working well for people who regularly buy XMR (or whatever). They could use the same collateral and in a year, with 12 trades buy up to 12 times the value of that collateral. I worry however about the people's perception of their privacy. Depending on how the system is implemented the other party can know how much BTC and XMR I own and my fiat account details.

Also, any solution to reduce the on-chain fees are welcome. Do you have any material on multisig on Lightning Network besides that link @meapistol ?
