I´ll include a reference to estonian ID system in my proposal.     I have to say, though, that I agree a lot with @HarryMacfinned that BSQ bonding is the way to go. It could lead to a quite strong OTC fiat-btc market for power traders (given that banks leave bisq transactions alone). 

If strong liquidity is achieved through BSQ bonding, that could be a good incentive for smaller traders to make an effort an overcome the UX hassle of BSQ bonding.  However very little traders and casual buyers could be pushed out of Bisq even with that liquidity incentive. 

So an account verification procedure could still be useful for some kind of "second layer market" where a Bisq node could choose to allow very small traders and casual buyers to trade only with him if their accounts are verified.  So in that sense, exploring account verification procedures is still useful even if not used within Bisq core users.
