The recent spikes have been caused by the Bisq donation address owner who buys BSQ with the BTC he received from trade fee and from trades ended up in arbitration and then burn the BSQ. So that is a short term event with rather high amounts and a totally valid case and very important to be displayed in the chart.

For me the most interesting of the issuance and burn BSQ charts is to see the ration of both. If we burn more BSQ as we issue we are break-even/profitable. The issuance has cycle of about 1 month, the burning is a continuous stream (trade fees) with the above mentioned spikes. 

I have not thought more in depth of the details but I think a time period slider where one can select any time range interested in would be very useful. If that is too much effort a simple time selector as we have in the trade statistics charts would be ok as well.
