Also, I didn't mention that the inlier filter has settings, the main one being distance from mean in standard deviations beyond which points are considered outliers:

10 standard deviations

5 standard deviations

In both cases a 5% trimmed standard mean was used. Trimming/truncation means to take away a percentage of max and min elements. A trimmed standard deviation is more resilient to outliers.
