I prefer decentralized solutions such as p2p blacklists to banning. However banning is simpler and as long as we have arbitrators it makes more sense. So I agree with banning for now.

However when arbitrators are gone it is too dangerous to have a **centralized authority** (DAO role?) with the power to ban users. It would be an obvious single point of attack for any regulator that wants to impose censorship.

It would also be dangerous to allow users to report/ban as this mechanism creates perverse incentives in a competitive market.

So long term we need to come up with something better.
