Yeah that is why in the original [bisq-workspace](https://github.com/bodymindarts/bisq-workspace) I start bitcoind with a script that doesn't complete [until bitcoind is responsive](https://github.com/bodymindarts/bisq-workspace/blob/master/scripts/start_bitcoind.sh#L39-L49).
