I think most of the complaints about JFX leaks are Linux related, and I can only talk about the problems I've seen while profiling on Linux.  (I don't have a Windows machine.)  

I have seen problems on OSX, but I have a mac-mini with 8Gb of ram and a slow processor; it is not a fair comparison.
