Devin I totally feel your pain on this one - while I absolutely feel we should move away from earn.com to our own self-hosted mempool fee estimation service, unfortunately right now our budget has been cut. Since our btcnode electrs backends aren't being used in production right now, how about we drop this for now and go back to it in a few months? I can make a simple one-command installer for the mempool-space backend and we can change our pricenodes to use it at that time. I actually have a lot of hard data that shows the mempool-space backend is far superior at predicting the best "next block" rate than earn.com but I'll save that for the future discussion...
