Hi @dmp1ce thanks for sharing all your useful info.

It all sounds good to me. If there is a strict protocol in place the risk of scammers can be mitigated.

I think getting both parties to submit an affidavit should the mediator require it seems like a good solution for both parties and hopefully it would only be required where other forms of mediation have been exhausted. I like the idea of both parties working together to resolve the issues. This should help to resolve most cases where the carrier is to blame,

Bisq traders do not have a reputation as such as to do so would be reduce privacy. However there are safeguards that can be put in place to ensure both new buyers and sellers start off with lower limits.

On my research of other P2P exchanges it appears that Local Bitcoins is the only one that does not support CBM. Paxful, Local Coin Swap, Local Cryptos, HodlHodl and Agoradesk all do.

I am in favour of Cash By Mail being added as a payment option in Bisq with a protocol as described above https://github.com/bisq-network/bisq/issues/1101#issuecomment-352630191 and utilizing a note including the Bisq 'Trade ID', and any message the Seller of BTC would like added.

It would be great to get the mediators @huey735 @bisq-knight @leo816 opinions on the concern raised @wiz about mediators and arbitrators not wanting to be in the situation where they need to make a judgement call based with reference to @dmp1ce comments https://github.com/bisq-network/bisq/issues/1101#issuecomment-724296022

Is there a consensus amongst the mediators about whether or not CMB should be added as a payment method to Bisq?
