Changing the DAO is a huge enterprise. There are other ideas as well how to automate that (I posted recently a proposal). The BM is a problem but low liquidity and economic unsustainability is a much bigger problem. 
Beside that we should look anyway in new trade protocol possibilities (off chain trade protocol, LN, Liquid,...) which would likely remove or change the situation with the BM anyway.
