## New Payment Methods to be added to Bisq in 2021

This post is a bit of an FYI but any feedback is welcome :)

Following a review of all the payment methods proposed for Bisq. I have reviewed them all and scored the 16 criteria based on the [table here](https://github.com/bisq-network/bisq/issues/4757#issuecomment-727711700) using the following criteria.

Essential: +1
Desirable: +2
Definite No’s: -2

The maximum score therefore is 32/32. I have expressed scores as a percentage of this to give an indication as to how well each payment method meets the Bisq criteria. The scores are expressed below.

Following review the result is:

- 23 payment methods are recommended to be added to Bisq
- 5 payment methods have been discounted

## Payment methods Recommend to add to Bisq:

The below payment methods are my recommendations for what should be added to Bisq.

## Priority 1: Multi-Currency Payment Methods

These multi-currency payment methods will be first priority due to benefiting the most amount of users and opening up trades between traders with different currencies.

- [Paxum](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/235) - 68.75%
- [Paysera](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/233) - 81.25%
- [Skrill](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/232) - 78.13%
- [CelPay](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/231) - 84.38%
- [WorldRemit](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/230) - 75%
- [Capitual](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/246) - 65.63%

## Priority 2: Indian, Colombian and Brazilian payment methods.

Users in these locations have been in need of, and requesting, more payment methods for some time. It will be great to increase the accessibility to users in these markets.

### Indian Payment Methods

- [NEFT](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/236) - 71.86%
- [RTGS](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/237) - 62.5%
- [UPI](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/225) - 75%
- [PayTM](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/226) - 78.13%
- [IMPS](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/224) - 71.86%

### Colombian Payment Methods

- [Nequi](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/193) - 71.88%

### Brazilian Payment Methods

- [PIX](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/208) - 75%

## Priority 3: US and European payment methods

### US Payment Methods

These markets have established liquidity so adding payment methods is less of a priority, however still important. Bitrefill provides an interesting use case for those looking to trade using gift vouchers.

- [TransferWise (USA)](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/217) - 68.75%
- [Strike](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/220) - 68.75%
- [Domestic Wire Transfer](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/218) - 68.75%
- [ACH](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/219) - 68.75%

### European Payment Methods

- [Bizum](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/222) - 71.88%
- [Monese](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/227) - 78.13%
- [Satispay](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/213) - 71.82%
- [Verse](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/223) - 75%
- [Tikkie](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/247) - 68.75%

### Gift Voucher Payment Methods (EUR and USD)

- [BitRefill](https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/issues/239) - 81.25%

## Timescales

I am hopeful all the above can be added, and promoted within the next 6 months.

## Next steps

I will concentrate on the following in the next 6 months:

- Liaising with devs, mediators and arbitrators with regards the inclusion of the above payment methods
- Develop documentation / wikis and promote the new payment methods
- Develop documentation of the existing payment methods (all payment methods to have their own wiki)
- Fix any issues with current payment methods

I do not expect to consider any payment methods not listed above for inclusion until 2022 unless there is expectational use cases / community support behind it.
