Why

GCash and PayMaya is the leading E-wallet solutions in the Philippines as mandated by the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas. References here:

None so far, because it is done directly when you send. And also you can send money when you're upgraded, which is required by BSP.

Size of user base

As I said, 70% or more uses these e-wallet in the Philippines amid the pandemic.

Data requirements

  *   Recipt
  *   Mobile Number
  *   Name (optional, if needed)
  *   Reference ID / Transaction Number

Verification

These transactions automatically generated a recipt on the platform. For GCash, it take a day to generate a recipt.

Duration

Instantly.

Fees

Zero fees if Express send to Gcash to Gcash or Paymaya to Paymaya.

Fraud risk

These payments are monitored by the AMLC or Anti Money Laundering Council to prevent these kinds of dirty money to be recycled.

Payment amounts

Minimum is 100,000 pesos daily for these two e-wallet providers.

Payment description

If the transaction is sent, it is just the recipt directly and the transaction details are included.
