Payment methods are evaluated very carefully before being added to Bisq. Poorly integrating a payment method, or integrating a payment method that's not a good fit for Bisq's trading protocol, can be costly mistakes for Bisq's users and dispute resolution mechanisms.

As a result, we request that you add responses to the following questions so that we can better consider your suggestion.

Please answer to the best of your ability. The more thorough you can be, the more you'll help us out, and the quicker your suggestion can be evaluated and implemented.

### Why

_Why would Bisq benefit from adding this payment method? Is is popular in a particular region? More convenient? More safe?_

A: Bisq would possibly gain many more users, since Gap Pay is most popular among users of Gab --- a social networking site that already promotes Bitcoin and freedom from the prevailing legacy financial system that intrudes on people's economic freedom and right to financial privacy.

### Region

_In which areas of the world can this payment method be used?_

A: Currently, U.S.A.

>From their website:

"Since we are located in the United States, we are beginning this project at home. Will we bring this to your country? It will depend on each country's banking laws. Since this operates across the banking network, it will be up to the regulators in your country."

### Currencies

_What currencies is this payment method for?_

A: USD

### Chargeback risk

_How easy is it to cancel a payment once it's made? This is the most important characteristic of a payment method._

A: GabPay doesn't allow chargebacks ("All transactions on the app are instant* and final, with no chargebacks!")

### Size of user base

_Do you know how many people use this payment method?_

A: In its current Alpha stage, no. (The site says it'll be moving into Beta testing soon and, if I recall, it'll be fully available soon this year, 2022.)

### Data requirements

_What information **must** a user provide to a counterparty to accept a payment?_

A: Not sure, but this might help from the website:

"Will Everyone Know I'm Using GabPay?

We understand the world is sensitive about Gab. They don't all understand how awesome we are as a group. So everything we do is designed to look and feel like anything else you encounter in person or online. You can choose to show customers will not know they are paying you through GabPay unless you promote it to everyone. The choice is up to you. #Freedom!"

### Verification

_How can payments be verified? Examples: TLSNotary is typically used for electronic payments, and receipt scans are typically used for money orders._

A: No idea.

### Duration

_How long do payments take? Please provide a range, as the advertised best-case scenario rarely accounts for edge cases._

A: Not sure yet.

### Fees

_Does it cost anything to make a transfer using this payment method? If so, how much?_

>From their website:

"How Much Will I Pay? With the GabPay App you pay 1.9% per transaction plus $0.15. Personal users can choose to pay, defer the cost to the other party, or split it. "

### Fraud risk

_How easy or difficult is fraud with this payment method?_

Looks pretty difficult to me.

### Payment amounts

_What is the minimum or maximum amount you can send with this payment method?_

A: No minimum or maximum limits from what I can tell.

### Payment description

_Can a note be added when sending payment with this payment method (would be useful to include the Bisq trade ID)?_

If I recall, it's a feature that's planned.
