Payment methods are evaluated very carefully before being added to Bisq. Poorly integrating a payment method, or integrating a payment method that's not a good fit for Bisq's trading protocol, can be costly mistakes for Bisq's users and dispute resolution mechanisms.

As a result, we request that you add responses to the following questions so that we can better consider your suggestion.

Please answer to the best of your ability. The more thorough you can be, the more you'll help us out, and the quicker your suggestion can be evaluated and implemented.

### Why

_Why would Bisq benefit from adding this payment method? Is is popular in a particular region? More convenient? More safe?_
https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/product/cash
- Wealthsimple sign-on process can be done in <15min using mobile app. It's full KYC, and convenient for robo-adviser investings.
- Wealthsimple Cash is a different app, but registration takes < 5 min once you are on their system for Wealthsimple
- transfers from one user to other are done using each users "handle", e.g. **$MacNarre**. The transfer additionally does provide each users legal FIRST_NAME, LAST_INITIAL., e.g. **Homer S**
- this is more private than using interac e-transfers which provide legal first and last name
- also - since it's using an online financial institution - it keeps crypto related transaction separate from old school banks, where people generally have there salary, mortgage connected to. So with canadian "emergencies act" being able to freeze accounts related to anything suspicious - it's cleaner to have crypto related banking separate from day-to-day banking.

### Region

- Canada for sure (based on my test)
- Wealthsimple has USA and London offices so possibly in those regions https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/about/who-we-are. I doubt that they would enable CAD to USA transfers.

### Currencies

$CAD for sure
maybe $USA, GBP

### Chargeback risk

_How easy is it to cancel a payment once it's made? This is the most important characteristic of a payment method._
I don't see a mechanism for user to chargeback. Maybe if calling Wealthsimple Support.

### Size of user base

_Do you know how many people use this payment method?_
WealthSimple claims to have 1.5million users. But Wealthsimple Cash is relatively NEW so must be a smaller subset.

### Data requirements

_What information **must** a user provide to a counterparty to accept a payment?_
only the **$UserHandle**.
Either Recipient can request from Sender $UserHandle, OR
Sender can send to Recipient $UserHandle

### Verification

_How can payments be verified? Examples: TLSNotary is typically used for electronic payments, and receipt scans are typically used for money orders._
Both SENDER/RECIPIENT have access to the chat window where the payment is made. They both see same info.

### Duration

_How long do payments take? Please provide a range, as the advertised best-case scenario rarely accounts for edge cases._
It was "instant" in my test case.

### Fees

_Does it cost anything to make a transfer using this payment method? If so, how much?_
Free

### Fraud risk

_How easy or difficult is fraud with this payment method?_
because both parties are on the same Wealthsimple platform - I don't think Fraud is possible (?)

### Payment amounts

_What is the minimum or maximum amount you can send with this payment method?_
Max - $5000. Min - I did a $10.

### Payment description

_Can a note be added when sending payment with this payment method (would be useful to include the Bisq trade ID)?_
Yes- when you do the Request/Send - it's done via a chat window and you can add any message you like
